If you connect a Scarlett Solo or 2i2 3rd Gen to your computer and open the Output Routing tab in Focusrite Control, you'll see the message "Output routing is not supported on this device". This is entirely normal with these models and does not stop audio from your computer from being played through the outputs on the Solo or 2i2. Control Panel -> Add & Remove Programs -> Uninstall Focusrite Control, Thunderbolt Usb driver, and Focusrite Usb driver. Reboot your computer. Go to Focusrite website and login (if you already registered your product). If you can't find it, just google and search for "Focusrite login". New Focusrit Scarlett 2I2 Studio 3rd Gen I have windows 10, but no USB 2 ports only USB 3. When I connect to my PC, I get the No Hardware Detected message. Any thoughts on how to correct? Sort by: artisan002 • 4 yr. ago Thoughts off the top of my head Description The record maker. 2i2 has brought studio sound to more artists than any other interface. Ever. Hook up a couple of mics, guitars or keys and record however you want. The two 3rd Generation Scarlett mic preamps sound great straight out of the box.

The Scarlett shut down for 2 or 3 seconds, the sampling rate went back to the original setting, but when the Scarlett came back on, it was working properly. I don't know if the Scarlett got reset or initialized somehow, or if the process somehow got it working properly with my iMac, but in either case, it's now working the way it's supposed to.
